Our Children’s dentists in Townsville recognise how important it is to teach your children about their dental health at a young age.
This is to ensure that they learn and instil good oral hygiene habits, avoid dental issues in the future, and feel comfortable and familiar in the dentist chair.
Dentist at Healthlink provides gentle and friendly services in a comfortable environment. We’re committed to providing the best care and we strive to make the child dental experience a positive and educational one for your children
We recommend bringing your child in for their first dental visit by 12 months old, or when their first tooth appears (whichever happens first).
Just like adults, it is recommended children see their dentist every six months for a routine check-up.
In these regular check-ups, our Townsville kid’s dentists will examine their teeth to make sure they’re being well-cleaned and to prevent or detect any dental issues early.
It’s very common for kids to be afraid of the dentist. If your child is anxious, we recommend visiting us every three months, rather than every six months (until they overcome their fear).
We understand that if your child is scared, the last thing they’d want to do is visit us more often. However, the purpose of these quick, more regular check-ups will be to build comfort, confidence, and familiarity for your child with our team and in a dental environment.
You can trust that our dentists will strive to make each child dental experience as positive and stress-free as possible. Many of our team members are parents themselves and are very skilled at providing gentle care, engaging, and calming down our younger patients.
We welcome patients under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule at Dentist At Healthlink.
